Just in time for the weekend, I’ve given one of my favorite Gaga songs the summertime dance mix treatment. I borrowed the music for this mashup from Victor Ark’s fantastic remix of the Spanish house track I Love Fata.

Lily Allen “Not Fair” (Matt-N-Zax Mix)
Back in June DJ Matt Bailer and I collaborated on this mashup of Lily Allen’s song “Not Fair” and a dub by Swiss DJ Dario D’Attis, while incorporating bits and pieces of the original track provided in stems by Lily’s record label. It took awhile for us to come to an agreement on the final version, but here it is and I think it was worth the wait.

Here’s a new mash I made tonight, pairing “UFO” by Australian dance group Sneaky Sound System, with Deadmau5 and Kaskade’s electro/trance anthem “I Remember.”

It is rare for an Alanis acapella to see the light of day, so when the vocals from “You Oughta Know” surfaced nearly 15 years after the song was released, I knew I had to do something with them.

Prince vs. Otto Von Schirach
Otto Von Schirach did a dirty electro cover of Prince’s “When Doves Cry” called “Sliced Doves On Codeine.” Otto’s mix is cool but his vocals on the track are a little too scary for me, so I mashed up Otto’s beat and Prince’s original version into this.
“Freak Like Me” Freaky B’more Mash
Adina Howard vs. DJ Class
This is another one I’ve been playing out for the last month and that was featured on one of my recent mixtapes. I’ve always loved “Freak Like Me” by Adina Howard. When I heard the beat from DJ Class’ new track “I’m The Ish,” I thought Adina’s vocals would sound nice over top, turning the song into a B’more stomper.
“Slap a Bitch! – The REM!X!”
Macy Gray’s vocal on this track is undeniably hot. I mashed her vocal with the Out of Office Remix beat of Michael Woods feat Inaya Day’s “Natural High” to turn this track into a hot house track for 2009.
DJ ZAX
